Quick start
Connect to your first server in under two minutes with Bayesian SSH.
From zero to connected
Section titled “From zero to connected”-
Save a host
Section titled “Save a host”Add a connection entry to the local database with
bssh add. Provide a friendly name and the target hostname or IP address:bssh add web-prod web-prod.example.com -u deploy --tags prod, webYou can optionally specify a port (
-p 2222), an SSH key (-i ~/.ssh/id_ed25519), or a jump host (-b bastion.example.com). -
Connect using fuzzy search
Section titled “Connect using fuzzy search”Connect to your saved host with
bssh connect:bssh connect prodYou do not need the full or exact name.
bsshmatches parts of names, aliases, hostnames, and tags. Separators are ignored, sowebprodmatchesweb-prod. When multiple hosts match, Bayesian ranking places the host you use most often or most recently at the top. -
Import your SSH configuration
Section titled “Import your SSH configuration”If you already have hosts defined in your OpenSSH configuration, import them into Bayesian SSH:
bssh importbssh importreads~/.ssh/configby default. It parsesHost,HostName,User,Port, andIdentityFiledirectives, skippingMatchblocks, and creates saved connections automatically. -
Open the desktop app
Section titled “Open the desktop app”Launch the graphical interface in the background:
bssh desktopThe desktop app shares the same local database as the CLI. You can browse hosts, filter by tags, open embedded terminal tabs, transfer files, and open the command palette with Ctrl+K.
